Russian Company Scales Up Metal 3D Printer Production

With new investments, Am.Tech is transitioning from prototypes to full-scale production of industrial 3D printers entirely made in Russia.

Russia is preparing to launch large-scale production of industrial 3D printers for metal manufacturing. The company Am.Tech has secured approximately $2.8 million in investments to expand its additive manufacturing technologies, according to Forbes. The funding will allow the company to fully localize component production, conduct further R&D, and increase the capacity of its manufacturing center.

From Prototypes to Production

Am.Tech will transition from small experimental batches to serial production of 3D printers fully assembled in Russia. The company has already developed two industrial models capable of printing metal parts for aerospace, energy, and medical industries. These printers are used for both prototyping and serial manufacturing, enabling rapid iteration and flexible production cycles.

High-Tech Demand

Among Am.Tech’s clients are major Russian state corporations and industrial leaders, including Rostec, Rosatom, and Nornickel. By the end of 2025, the company plans to deliver nine industrial-grade 3D printers. A new model with an enlarged print chamber is already in development, which will make it possible to produce larger and more complex components.

Building a Self-Reliant Industry

The expansion of domestic 3D printer manufacturing will provide Russian producers with timely access to high-quality components, strengthening the country’s technological independence. Additive manufacturing technologies are rapidly gaining traction in Russia, finding broad applications across aviation, space, and industrial engineering. Am.Tech’s scaling initiative marks a key step toward establishing a robust, homegrown ecosystem for advanced manufacturing.
