Russian Developers Turn to Automation to Win More Construction Contracts

A new digital platform is helping construction firms streamline procurement, reduce manual labor, and boost their competitiveness in government and commercial tenders.
Leading Russian development firm Neometry has rolled out a digital system to automate its procurement workflow. The move has already enabled the company to participate in dozens of digital tenders, cut down on manual tasks, and increase efficiency across every stage of the construction lifecycle. The setup is built on a combination of the Tangl BIM platform and the domestic IT system AST-Alpha.
In 2025, Neometry launched an internal tender to evaluate multiple digital solutions. Key decision factors included implementation speed, compatibility with existing infrastructure, and integration with current software. It took just one month to deploy the system, after which the company initiated its first pilot procurements.
According to AST-Alpha CEO Ilya Veselov, the system was tailored for the construction industry’s unique requirements. The integration of Tangl and AST-Alpha created an end-to-end digital pipeline. Material specifications are extracted directly from the BIM model, eliminating manual data entry and reducing human error. Tender documents that once took days now take only hours to prepare.
Within weeks of implementation, project participants noted a dramatic boost in speed and transparency. Misalignments between design documents and procurement procedures have been virtually eliminated.
