Russian Manufacturers Shift Core IT Systems to Domestic Cloud Platforms

As cloud infrastructure matures, major firms are migrating mission-critical services to homegrown solutions to boost security and reduce costs.
A growing number of Russian manufacturers are transitioning their IT infrastructure to T1 Cloud, a domestic cloud platform. One prominent example is ITMS, which recently migrated 40% of its key business systems — including 1C ERP, MES, WMS, Optimacros, and corporate services — to the new environment.
Before the move, ITMS audited the infrastructure and inspected the data center to ensure reliability. The transition resulted in streamlined IT spending and improved internal productivity. The platform’s web-based interface also enables on-demand scalability, allowing teams to tailor computing resources to evolving workloads.
Russian companies are increasingly adopting multi-cloud strategies to enhance the resilience and efficiency of their digital operations. Security remains a top priority, and domestic technologies are often favored over foreign alternatives due to stricter data protections.
Russian-made software is also gaining international traction. One global fruit supplier recently replaced Anaplan with Russia’s Optimacros, completing the migration in just four months — with no operational downtime or business disruption.
