Russians Are Doubling Their Spending on AI-Powered Gadgets
Smart speakers, home security systems, and AI-driven appliances are leading the boom in intelligent tech adoption across the country.

Demand for AI-enabled consumer electronics in Russia has surged by 85% year over year, with total sales nearly doubling compared to 2024, according to Izvestia, citing data from key market players. The country’s consumers are increasingly gravitating toward devices that promise convenience, automation, and smarter living.
Smart Homes Drive Demand
Experts note that home devices dominate the market: smart speakers, connected security systems, and remotely controlled appliances remain the top sellers. Close behind are smartphones, tablets, and personal health gadgets.
Sales of robot vacuum cleaners jumped 44%, according to Avito, and 32% by MTS’s estimate. Air fryers with AI-based cooking programs saw an explosive 211% increase. Meanwhile, smartphones and tablets with AI features sold 59% more units in the first ten months of 2025 than in the same period last year.
From Smart Homes to AI Recorders
Smart speakers continue to be a consumer favorite, led by Yandex’s AI-powered audio lineup, which dominates the market. New product categories are also emerging — including the TicNote, Russia’s first voice recorder with a built-in AI assistant capable of transcription, translation, and speech analysis.
The data suggests that AI isn’t just a buzzword for Russian consumers anymore — it’s becoming an expected feature across all segments of tech, from kitchen gadgets to personal devices, signaling a major shift toward intelligent living.
