Russia’s Nuclear Industry Trains Specialists in AI and Mathematical Modeling
The state corporation Rosatom is expanding its talent pipeline by training young scientists in artificial intelligence, big data, and high-performance mathematical modeling.

Russia’s state atomic energy corporation Rosatom continues its long-term effort to build a skilled workforce for the country’s high-tech industries and research institutions. The National Center for Physics and Mathematics (NCPM), established with Rosatom’s support, will host the final stage of its scientific schools starting October 28. The upcoming sessions will focus on artificial intelligence, big data, and mathematical modeling.
Top young researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates from across Russia will have their travel expenses to NCPM covered and will receive free accommodation and meals. Additional AI and big data training sessions are scheduled for late November, while advanced courses in mathematical modeling on exa- and zettaflops-class supercomputers will begin in early December.
Earlier NCPM workshops featured lectures and seminars on the architecture of supercomputers used for training AI systems, processing massive datasets, and developing next-generation software solutions.
