T2 Continues Replacing Foreign Components in Core Network Infrastructure
The telecom operator is installing new equipment at packet-switching nodes as part of its broader import-substitution program.
Mobile operator T2 said it is continuing efforts to replace foreign-made components in its network infrastructure. The company has upgraded packet-switching nodes in three Russian regions using equipment supplied by Bercut. According to T2, the systems meet international standards and support the full range of required network functions.
The upgrades were carried out in Murmansk, Pskov, and Petrozavodsk. Packet-switching nodes are responsible for ensuring subscribers receive the specific services included in their mobile plans. T2 said development of the customized solutions took around three years, followed by another seven months of installation work.
The operator said it plans to expand the rollout to all regions where it operates before the end of this year.
