Flant Launches AI Assistant for Infrastructure Management
Russian IT company Flant has integrated an AI assistant into its Deckhouse Kubernetes Platform and Deckhouse Observability Platform.
The tool operates as a chatbot directly within the platforms' graphical interfaces, helping engineers manage infrastructure, investigate incidents, and perform routine operations, but only after receiving user approval. The feature has been launched on an experimental basis and is available in all editions of Deckhouse Kubernetes Platform except Certified Security Edition, as well as in Deckhouse Observability Platform.
Users can describe a task in plain language, and the assistant will propose a way to complete it and then carry out the required steps. It can also prepare virtual machine configurations and deploy them through the Model Context Protocol. In Deckhouse Observability Platform, the assistant helps engineers find relevant data more quickly and correlate service behavior with infrastructure conditions, reducing the time needed to resolve failures. All actions are performed on behalf of the user and within that user's role-based access control (RBAC) permissions, while any infrastructure changes require explicit human approval.
According to Tishonko, future versions of the assistant will be able to diagnose incidents and will include a built-in large language model for offline operation.
