Young Programmers From Across Russia Compete in Cybersecurity Coding Championship
Over 100 Participants in Orenburg Test Their Skills in Building and Defending Digital Systems

The Russian Championship in Competitive Programming has kicked off in Orenburg, bringing together more than 100 young IT specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, and other regions. The competitors are tackling challenges in the discipline of “Programming for Information Security Systems,” where they must identify and fix vulnerabilities, simulate real cyberattacks, and design new defense mechanisms.
Governor Evgeny Solntsev emphasized the importance of the event, calling cybersecurity one of the country’s key strategic priorities:
Russia’s Largest Programming Championship
The competition includes a packed agenda — featuring a “Digital Lesson” session, a youth tech forum, a roundtable on government cyber resilience, and hands-on cybersecurity drills.
The championship is part of a larger national series that includes three main tracks — algorithmic programming, product development, and cybersecurity systems. Altogether, the events have drawn over 5,000 participants across the country.
By nurturing talent from school age onward, the initiative is helping Russia build a new generation of cybersecurity experts ready to defend the digital backbone of its economy.
