Andrey Omelchuk: “We Are Building Infrastructure for a Seamless Digital Framework”
Russia’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the government of Tatarstan have signed an agreement to create an advanced digital space for managing science, aiming to accelerate innovation and strengthen the country’s technological development.

At the international forum Kazan Digital Week, Russia’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the government of the Republic of Tatarstan signed an agreement to establish a modern digital environment for managing science in the region.
The partnership will unite the efforts of government, academia, and industry to speed up the introduction of innovations into production and to drive the country’s technological growth. The project carries significance not only for Russia but also for the global scientific community, as it demonstrates a practical approach to building an effective national innovation system.
The agreement is designed to integrate Tatarstan into the federal “Science” platform. As one of Russia’s key scientific and industrial centers, the republic will serve as a pilot region to test new approaches to managing research activities.
Implementing the agreement will bring tangible benefits to both the region and the country as a whole. It will bridge the gap between research institutions, government, and industry: businesses will gain access to promising developments, while scientists will be connected to real-sector demands. Digital solutions will make the commercialization of research and inventions more transparent and faster. Decisions on funding and project support will be based on up-to-date data on research progress, human resources, and intellectual property results.
