Moscow to Host Inclusive Kids’ Esports Tournament Honoring WWII Tank Battle

The event blends drone racing, World of Tanks, and historical education to foster inclusion and memory among children with disabilities.
On July 12, Moscow’s Victory Park will host the “Cyber Universe of Equal Opportunities,” an inclusive gaming and tech event designed for children with disabilities. The tournament commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Prokhorovka — one of the largest tank battles of World War II.
According to Sofia Zhorova, head of the nonprofit “Unique World” and the event’s organizer, the initiative aims to both promote esports among young people and preserve historical memory. The program includes competitive matches in World of Tanks and BRLA phygital sports, drone races, an exhibition of military vehicles, screenings of archival war footage, and a concert featuring wartime songs. All activities are adapted for accessibility.
Organizers stress that such events provide meaningful opportunities for socialization and empowerment. Russia is positioning itself as a global leader in inclusive innovation.
