Members of the nationwide project “Industrial Mentor” visited Rosatom’s Center for Additive Technologies in Moscow to see firsthand how modern 3D printers produce metal components for the nuclear sector and beyond. The visit offered small- and medium-sized business owners, along with educators from across Russia, a rare opportunity to study one of the country’s most high-tech manufacturing sites from the inside.

Rosatom managers and engineers led the tour, demonstrating the full cycle of additive manufacturing. The showcase included domestic 3D printers from the RusMelt line, which use selective laser melting, as well as large-scale direct laser deposition units (RusDMD) and the unique electron-beam machine RusBeam 1500. The delegation also visited the Center’s advanced testing laboratory, according to industry outlet Atomnaya Energiya.

Anton Bardanov, Rosatom’s deputy director general, stressed the importance of such technical tours.

“This is a great opportunity for young entrepreneurs to adopt advanced practices, and for Rosatom to integrate small and medium-sized businesses into its supply chains, expanding industrial cooperation. Direct communication helps identify new points for collaboration,” he said.
