In the Krasnodar region, a large‑scale initiative is underway to create an ecosystem that supports every stage of unmanned‑aircraft development — from design and analytics to testing and real‑world deployment. The project marks a major step in Russia’s strategy to integrate drones into critical sectors of the economy, setting an international example of how regulated, data‑driven drone infrastructure can be built at scale.
At the core of the initiative is the Technosphere Innovation Center, which will focus on developing drones for agriculture and tourism. According to Dmitry Khmelko, the region’s Minister of Industry, the facility will also host an analytics center that supports research, modeling, and operational planning.
What sets the project apart is its system‑level design: rather than merely supporting drone manufacturers, the region is building an end‑to‑end infrastructure foundation.
An Integrated Environment for Safe Deployment
The broader ecosystem will include a flight‑monitoring center, a full flight‑testing complex, and a hub for processing aerial‑survey data. Together, these facilities form a controlled and predictable environment for advancing unmanned aviation.

More than 20 regional enterprises already produce drones, electronic components, and related technologies — positioning the region as a national leader in UAV innovation.
