Russian-Made Smart Ring Promises to Help Women Manage Stress

A sleek wearable tracks health metrics and offers personalized recommendations to reduce anxiety and improve sleep.
Wearable health devices don’t have to be limited to watches or fitness trackers—they can also be fashion-forward. Russian developers have created a women’s smart ring, called KOD, designed to look elegant while helping reduce stress.
Anxiety and stress, the creators note, remain major psychological challenges for women. Statistics show that between 23 and 47 percent of Russian women aged 25–45 experience ongoing anxiety and emotional burnout. While experts advise seeking professional help, the ring is positioned as a complementary wellness tool.
The device monitors heart rate variability (HRV), breathing, sleep, oxygen levels, and physical activity. It sends this data to a mobile app, which provides personalized recommendations, including guided breathing and mindfulness exercises.
In testing, 30 percent of users reported reduced anxiety within three weeks, and average sleep duration increased by 20 percent. In one unusual case, a smart ring was even offered to a bride-to-be in Russia as a modern twist on the traditional engagement ring.
