Russian Media Group Develops In-House Software to Analyze Video Content
Gazprom-Media Holding is building its own technology to process, analyze, and moderate video content across its streaming platforms.

Gazprom-Media Holding has invested several hundred million rubles in the development of Predicto, a video analytics platform created in partnership with a Russian startup of the same name. The software is intended to become the core technological layer for the media group’s entire online ecosystem.
The platform is designed as a unified environment for managing video content. It is used not only to recommend relevant videos to viewers, but also to monitor and control the content published on the company’s platforms.
Recommendation Technologies
The system processes video streams and collects detailed data on audience behavior. It tracks what users watch, how long they stay with specific videos, and which content generates engagement. Based on this data, the platform builds recommendation pools and helps surface relevant material from large video libraries.
At the same time, the software analyzes the videos themselves. It can flag segments that may violate platform rules or current regulations. This reduces the workload on human moderators and significantly speeds up content review.
Deployment Across Platforms
The platform is now being rolled out across Gazprom-Media’s video services, including Premier and Rutube. It will be used internally by editorial teams and technical staff as part of their day-to-day workflows. With its help, teams will manage catalogs of films, TV series, and user-generated video content.
