SATOMS Cuts Management Reporting Time in Half Through Automation

The solution, built on 1C, reduced material resource costs by 20% and cut the time needed to obtain management reports in half.

The main challenge was not so much configuring the ERP system as developing a methodology from scratch. The model was designed to be object-oriented from the outset, taking into account the capabilities of the target system, including budget types and structures, analytical dimensions, report formats, and cost allocation methods.

“First Bit’s specialists proposed a financial and budgeting structure based on their professional experience, then implemented it in the ERP system we already had in place. We now have sales, production, and overhead budgets that allow us to monitor expenses more effectively across individual projects,” said Daniil Naberezhnykh, chief information officer at SATOMS.

Following the project, SATOMS gained a financial accounting model automated in 1C. The system collects actual budget data, monitors spending limits, and allocates overhead costs across projects. This has improved financial management transparency in the processes involved in developing, manufacturing, and installing equipment for nuclear power plants.
