Rostec Opens Path to Industry Careers for School Students
Rostec, Russia’s state-owned technology corporation, has launched an educational portal, study.rostec.ru, for school students seeking employer-sponsored education and jobs at its companies.
The portal brings together information on admissions and employment. According to Rostec’s press service, aspiring engineers can choose from more than 270 fields of study at over 300 colleges and 140 universities across Russia. Options include aircraft manufacturing, radio electronics, IT, cybersecurity, biomedical technology, and mechanical engineering.
The portal also features an events calendar with meetings with employees of design bureaus and factories, hands-on career trials, corporate skills competitions, and academic olympiads. Taking part in these activities earns students additional points toward admission to employer-sponsored education programs.
School students can also use the portal to contact a company they are interested in and ask questions directly.
