Russia Puts Hotel Management Into a Smartphone

Russian tech ecosystem Kontur has launched a mobile version of its Kontur.Hotel service. The app allows hotel owners and managers to monitor room occupancy, track bookings, and oversee staff operations directly from a smartphone.

Hotel operators needed constant access to real-time data from anywhere, rather than relying on desktop systems. The app features a central dashboard showing key events, including room occupancy for the current and following days, as well as new and canceled bookings.

For clarity, the interface uses a familiar “grid” layout. Users can view available and occupied rooms, pricing, and filter data by date and category.

Each booking card includes full guest details, including payment status, transaction history, and additional services ordered.

Guest and Staff Management

The app covers daily operational needs for hotel managers. It includes sections for arrivals, departures, and current stays.

Administrators can check guests in and out directly from a smartphone if their data is already in the system. A dedicated section handles staff operations, displaying employee tasks and cleaning schedules. Staff can mark tasks as completed within the app. Future versions will allow managers to reassign and adjust tasks.

The app also provides performance metrics and allows switching between multiple properties, making it suitable for hotel chains. Access control limits data visibility, ensuring that financial and management information is available only to authorized personnel.

The app operates through Kontur’s unified authentication system, protecting guest data and commercial information. The service infrastructure is included in the list of socially significant digital resources maintained by the Ministry of Digital Development. The app continues to function even during mobile internet restrictions in certain regions. Developers plan to expand the product with new features based on feedback from the hospitality industry.
