Russia Unveils Its First Monitor Powered by Domestic Chip

Russia continues its push for digital independence with the launch of a homegrown monitor and server built entirely on domestic technology.
Russian electronics manufacturer Beshtau Group has introduced the country’s first monitor powered by a domestically developed chip. The monitor supports 2K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The company also unveiled a quad-processor server assembled in-house. According to the developers, these products have no domestic equivalents.
The announcement was made during the 'Digital Industry of Industrial Russia' conference in Nizhny Novgorod, attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The technological foundation of the monitor is a Russian-made scaler — a control board that houses the processor, flash memory with the monitor’s firmware, EEPROM for configuration storage, and other essential components. Experts say these developments highlight the growing capability of Russian manufacturers to reduce reliance on imported technology in the digital sector.
