Kazan Digital Week 2025 Opens in Russia
The international forum in Kazan has become a showcase for Russia’s digital economy and a platform to outline its ambitions for global tech leadership.

The sixth international “Kazan Digital Week 2025” officially opened in Kazan, positioning itself as a key venue for demonstrating achievements and discussing the future of Russia’s digital economy. The large-scale event strengthens Russia’s status as a global hub of technological innovation. It not only sets the agenda for domestic growth but also signals to the international community the country’s readiness to collaborate on building a digital future.
Organizers expect more than 20,000 participants, with an exhibition area exceeding 15,000 square meters. Across hundreds of sessions, experts will debate the adoption of advanced technologies across all areas of life—from government, healthcare, and education to transport, culture, and agriculture. Special focus will be given to cybersecurity, fintech, and Industry 4.0.
Russia’s Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev, speaking at a plenary session, cited concrete figures confirming the sector’s momentum. In 2024, the IT industry contributed 2.43 percent to Russia’s GDP, with fixed capital investments reaching 828 billion rubles (about 10 billion USD).
Rustam Minnikhanov, head of the Republic of Tatarstan, announced ambitious plans to expand digital infrastructure. By 2030, the number of IT parks in the region is set to grow from 24 to 40, creating growth hubs across all municipalities.
