Moscow Cybersecurity Exhibit Teaches Families How to Avoid Online Scams

With cyber fraud on the rise in Russia, a new interactive exhibit at VDNH's 'Smart City' pavilion offers practical tools to protect children and adults from digital threats.

Cybercrime has reached alarming levels in Russia, with losses from fraud rising 36% in a single year to 200 billion rubles. Scammers continue to develop new tactics to steal personal and financial data—but many of their tricks are already well-documented.

Visitors can now explore those schemes in detail at a new cybersecurity exhibit at the 'Smart City' pavilion in Moscow's VDNH expo center. The exhibit is designed to educate both adults and children about online safety in an engaging and accessible way.

The experience is fully interactive, covering topics such as password protection, digital hygiene, hacker behavior, and tips for staying alert online. Visitors learn why accounts are hacked, how to defend against phishing, and when cybercriminals are most active.

The exhibit is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and all workshops, quests, and guided tours are free of charge. Additional activities—including programming workshops, 3D modeling, and robotics courses—require advance registration via the exhibit’s website.
