Neural Networks in Russia Are to Review Construction Projects

Russia is moving the assessment of construction projects into a digital format. Glavgosexpertiza announced details of the new development.

The agency is creating a cloud-based platform powered by artificial intelligence that will carry out initial analysis of project documentation.

As Vadim Antropov, First Deputy Head of the agency, told Interfax, designers will be able to upload their documents to the service and receive feedback directly there. Responses will be generated by a neural network, using language close to professional terminology.

AI-Based Oversight

Glavgosexpertiza is drawing on its own internal experience in developing AI tools. Agency specialists have created and patented a smart search technology in which a neural network reviews project texts, analyzes documents, and determines which specialist they should be forwarded to.

Digital technologies are already widely used in Russia’s construction sector. This year, they are set to be scaled across multiple regions at the initiative of the federal Ministry of Construction. Artificial intelligence not only simplifies document handling and communication, but also tracks construction progress and monitors on-site safety.
