Russia Introduces National AI Standard for Transportation
The country’s first industry-specific AI framework offers practical guidance and real-world case studies to help companies integrate artificial intelligence into transport systems.
At the Digital Transportation 2025 forum in Moscow, experts unveiled a “White Book” on AI implementation in the transportation sector. This marks Russia’s first official industry standard, featuring practical recommendations and successful case studies to guide companies through adoption.
The document lays out a step-by-step approach: defining tasks and datasets, selecting the right solution, agreeing on success criteria, and moving from pilot projects to large-scale deployment. It also includes a section with typical AI-driven products that can be applied across the transport industry.
Contributors emphasized that the “White Book” is designed for both large and small companies, regardless of whether they already have AI experience or are just beginning integration.
