Sib MIR Tests New Software Suite for Assessing Generator Condition
All tests are conducted without fully disassembling the equipment.
Sib MIR (part of eV Group) has tested a unique software suite for assessing the actual condition of generators. It can detect the slightest changes in equipment operation without the need for full disassembly. The tests took place at one of Inter RAO Group's power plants.
The key feature of the new system is that sensors are mounted directly on the casing of the unit being inspected. This significantly simplifies the diagnostic process.
The suite collects data on vibration, electrical charge activity, and magnetic field parameters. The information is then transmitted as oscillograms to the Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics Center. This approach enables rapid data collection and advance planning of repairs when needed.
Data collection from the sensors and analysis of the system's operating algorithms are currently underway. The next stage is developing an application methodology and deploying it at power plants in various regions of the country.
