Surgut District Showcases AI System That Assesses Movements Using a Webcam
Surgut District of Yugra presented an artificial intelligence-based movement assessment system at the Russian Phygital Sports Championship. The system needs only a standard webcam to analyze movements.

The district was one of the organizers of the competition in the Rhythm Simulator discipline, municipal head Andrey Trubetskoy said. IT professionals handled the technical and judging aspects of the event and also tested the new system.
The hardware and software system performs biomechanical analysis, records key parameters, assesses exercise technique and generates reports for coaches. It was developed by Russian researchers and has already received state registration. The system can also be used for remote training and is expected to be incorporated into the rules for the Rhythm Simulator discipline.
