Astra Group and Macro Group to Jointly Promote Embedded Solutions
The companies agreed to cooperate during the Microelectronics 2026 forum.
Astra Group and Macro Group have signed a cooperation agreement at the Microelectronics 2026 forum. The document provides for ensuring that PicoS and NanoS single-board computers (built on the Hypercom U processor) run on the Russian Astra Linux Embedded operating system. This combination will expand the potential applications of this equipment in industry and at critical information infrastructure facilities.
The partnership also extends to Diasom processor modules based on Rockchip. They are actively used for industrial automation, transport, medicine, and video surveillance. Customers will now be able to access even more hardware-software options.
"The domestic market for operating systems for specialized devices is growing steadily — manufacturers do not want to depend on the availability of foreign software vendors. Cooperation with industry leaders such as Macro Group allows us to effectively bring joint solutions to fruition. In this way, we make a tangible contribution to the development of the market and the formation of its standards," commented Mikhail Gellerman, Director of the Operating Systems Division at Astra Group.
