A digital service called Vyvoz nenuzhnykh veshchey (unwanted items removal service) is gaining popularity in Mozhaisk, Moscow Oblast, Russia, allowing residents to dispose of bulky waste without hassle. In the first three months of 2026 alone, residents submitted 146 requests, with demand continuing to rise as spring begins.

They Load and Take It Away

Old refrigerators, furniture, and construction debris are among the most common items residents request to remove. To schedule a pickup, users open the Gosuslugi public services portal or the Dobrodel civic services app, select the items, provide an address, and choose a convenient time. After that, the process is handled by specialists, according to the online outlet Regons.

Requests can be submitted at any time, including overnight. After a request is placed, staff follow up to confirm details. If needed, crews can disconnect appliances from utilities, load the items, and remove them without assistance from residents.

Eco-Friendly Disposal

The service addresses several issues at once: it clears living spaces, eliminates the need for residents to manage disposal themselves, and ensures waste is processed using environmentally responsible methods.

Local authorities note that 55 cameras from the “Safe Region” system monitor container sites across the Mozhaisk district to prevent illegal dumping. Surveillance also covers playgrounds, courtyards, entrances, roads, intersections, pedestrian crossings, and both public and commercial facilities. For residents who prefer to dispose of waste on their own, designated Megabak collection sites operate across the district.

Earlier reports said that artificial intelligence is being used to help eliminate illegal dumping sites across the Moscow region.
