Russia Hosts Annual Safe Runet Week
Awareness campaign calls for responsible use of information technologies.

Russia has launched its traditional awareness campaign, Nedelya Bezopasnogo Runeta (Safe Runet Week). Organized by the Coordination Center for the RU/RF domains, the program will feature roundtables, workshops, webinars, guided tours, and expert discussions from February 10 to 22 across the country.
The initiative is supported by the Russian Safe Internet Center and other partners. In Chelyabinsk, a Secure Coding Championship will take place, while Pyatigorsk will open a new Information Security Center. Schools are planning digital literacy lessons and meetings with cybersecurity specialists. The program targets a broad audience, from children and teenagers to journalists and law enforcement officers. Key events will be held in Moscow, with online access available for remote participants.
Working Together
According to Andrey Vorobyov, Director of the Coordination Center for the RU/RF domains, Russia’s domain industry in 2026 is focused on enhancing security and building trust online.
Safe Runet Week provides a platform for bringing together professionals, businesses, and government representatives to discuss current threats and countermeasures. The campaign is being held for the 19th time.
