Tyumen Hospital Uses Virtual Reality Headsets in Pediatric Rehabilitation
Doctors say the technology is helping young patients recover more quickly.

Medical staff at Tyumen Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2 are increasingly using advanced technologies in the rehabilitation of pediatric patients. One of the most widely adopted approaches involves virtual reality headsets, which turn routine exercises into immersive game-like experiences and help accelerate recovery.
Ivan Kuznetsov, head of the adult inpatient rehabilitation department at OKB No. 2, said pediatric rehabilitation has unique characteristics. Children are less likely to suffer from chronic conditions, and advanced technologies often make it possible to achieve faster treatment results.
Meanwhile, the clinician stressed that technology alone cannot guarantee successful treatment. Psychological comfort provided by both parents and medical staff remains equally important during rehabilitation.
