Infosecurity Launches QMULO, a New Cyber Awareness Platform for Businesses

Infosecurity, part of the Softline Group, has launched QMULO, a new Russian cloud-based service designed to raise cyber awareness and train employees in the fundamentals of information security.

Building a Culture of Cybersecurity Awareness

The QMULO platform delivers interactive learning content, including quizzes, checklists, and short training modules lasting five to ten minutes. It also automates employee progress tracking and generates transparent reports for HR teams, IT departments, and senior management. Organizations can upload their own materials and expand training programs using a built-in AI assistant.

The platform is aimed at strengthening corporate security culture and improving cyber literacy, particularly in the small and midsize business (SMB) segment. QMULO helps employees develop practical, repeatable security habits, including recognizing phishing attempts, managing passwords securely, and handling sensitive data safely.

The solution directly addresses the human factor, one of the leading causes of data breaches. Russian studies indicate that up to 68% of cybersecurity incidents are linked to employee errors. QMULO lowers the barrier for SMBs to adopt security awareness tools by eliminating the need to hire expensive specialists or deploy complex infrastructure, ultimately improving organizational resilience against modern threats.

For the Russian IT market, this represents further development of domestic cybersecurity services, including products with export potential to CIS countries and neighboring regions. More broadly, the platform contributes to strengthening global cybersecurity culture through locally developed solutions tailored to real-world risks.

While businesses have long understood how heavily security depends on employee behavior, the SMB segment simply lacks the resources to maintain the required level of awareness amid a constantly evolving threat landscape. QMULO makes it possible both to systematically build staff expertise in basic security scenarios and to rapidly alert teams to new risks and emerging challenges

Export Potential

QMULO has significant export potential and is planned to be offered to companies in Central Asia, the Middle East, and CIS countries, where SMBs often lack access to structured cybersecurity training solutions. The service is also designed to integrate with Softline’s existing corporate cloud packages and partner cybersecurity tools.

In Russia’s domestic market, amid a rising number of cyberattacks targeting both businesses and government organizations, security awareness services are becoming critically important. QMULO can be embedded into comprehensive information security programs, complementing SOC services, audits, and penetration testing. Adaptation for IT schools and corporate academies is also under consideration.

Domestic SOC and SIEM platforms are increasingly integrated with other security tools to exchange telemetry and dynamically adjust training content, including SOAR systems and business analytics platforms (BI/DWH). For example, the Russian DLP system Stakhanovets is officially compatible with SIEM solutions such as RuSIEM and Komrad Enterprise SIEM.

Training the Workforce as a Security Priority

The Russian market is seeing steady growth in Security Awareness services, platforms focused on educating employees in information security. These solutions are built around comprehensive educational programs that help staff understand the importance of protecting data and develop the skills needed to identify and prevent cyber threats. For instance, Kaspersky offers a range of products for building cybersecurity culture, including the Kaspersky Automated Security Awareness Platform.

Another example is SolarCyberMir, a software platform developed by the Solar Group for organizing cyber exercises, building cyber ranges, and developing security skills among information security teams. The platform is powered by the SolarQuest game engine, which introduces adventure-style logic into training scenarios.

There is also a clear shift toward cloud-based security tools, making training and protection more accessible for smaller organizations. Yandex Cloud, for example, offers services for comprehensive cloud protection, including monitoring, threat response, and defense against DDoS and other attacks. Its Smart Web Security solution provides protection for websites and applications against bots, DDoS attacks, and exploitation attempts through a web application firewall.

As data leaks and cyberattacks continue to increase, workforce training is becoming a top priority rather than a secondary security measure.

Part of a Broader Cybersecurity Strategy

QMULO addresses an urgent need among Russian businesses for accessible security awareness tools, positioning itself as a core element of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. Demand for such services is expected to grow steadily, especially among SMBs and educational institutions, where dedicated security teams are often unavailable.

In the long term, Softline plans to expand QMULO’s export footprint in regions where it operates and integrate the platform into larger security ecosystems, including SOC services and cloud-based work environments. This approach aligns with the global trend toward “cybersecurity as a service,” significantly lowering entry barriers for organizations of any size and supporting overall digital maturity.
