Russia Opens “University of Entrepreneurs” to Build Future Technologies
Launched in Moscow under the directive of President Vladimir Putin, a new educational program brings together science, business, and talented students to create breakthrough technologies in AI, biomedicine, and logistics.

The “University of Entrepreneurs” program aims to merge education with practical innovation. Its mission is to develop products capable of transforming urban life and strengthening Russia’s technological sovereignty. The initiative highlights Russia’s model of integrating universities, industry, and government to produce tangible results, positioning it as a potential blueprint for other countries.
The program is being implemented by the Moscow government and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Twenty specialized workshops have already started, where more than 300 students will spend a year developing cutting-edge solutions. Classes are held across eight of the capital’s leading universities.
What sets the program apart is its strong focus on practice. Students won’t just study theory—they will work under the guidance of experienced entrepreneurs on projects in critical fields: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biomedicine, smart transport and logistics, new materials, and foodtech.
