Sales of Russia’s IT Sector Exceed 3.6 Trillion Rubles
The figure rose by 16 percent over the year.

Sales in Russia’s IT industry exceeded 3.6 trillion rubles in 2025, according to data released by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media. The figure was up 16 percent year on year. Nearly two-thirds of total sales came from software.
Software developers increased sales by more than 30 percent over the year, confirming the segment’s leading position within the industry as a whole.
A Key Segment of the Economy
Total employment in the IT sector exceeded 1.1 million people in 2025. Over the year, another 153,000 workers entered the industry.
Investment in fixed capital in IT topped 471 billion rubles. Software developers accounted for the largest share of investment, at 53 percent of the total. Companies specializing in data processing and information hosting ranked second by investment volume.
The ministry stresses that IT remains a key segment of the economy and continues to grow across all indicators.
