A voice-assistant-equipped photosorter will improve grain quality in Russia
A new Russian photosorter equipped with a voice assistant is being positioned as a tool to improve grain quality even under difficult weather conditions

Agriculture
SiSort, a Russian agricultural technology company, is preparing to unveil a next‑generation photosorter with an integrated voice assistant at the upcoming Agro‑Industrial Forum in Krasnoyarsk this December. The flagship exhibit will be the SmartSort C 1.1 model, designed to enhance the quality of grain and other bulk agricultural products during a challenging harvest season.
Aleksei Savin, a representative of SiSort’s Novosibirsk division, noted that the exhibition model will include the Alisa voice assistant as well as a new Deep Learning–based camera developed by SiSort. The company plans to release a production version featuring this technology next year.
Addressing Weather‑Driven Crop Damage
Savin emphasized that this year’s prolonged rainfall led to widespread sprouting and reduced germination in grain, making weather‑related quality degradation a major concern for farmers. The new equipment is intended to help restore both seed‑grade and market‑grade grain quality.
Visitors will be able to see the photosorter in operation, as SiSort will demonstrate the system live using grain samples and other bulk products.
Why the Technology Matters
The SmartSort C 1.1 uses high‑precision optical sensors and AI‑supported defect detection to identify impurities, sprouted kernels, and damaged grains. Automated sorting allows producers to recover commercial value from compromised harvests, improving quality consistency and reducing losses.
The addition of voice‑assistant features helps simplify workflow: operators can adjust machine settings, run diagnostics, and monitor performance hands‑free — an important advantage for small and mid‑sized agricultural enterprises.
