“Digital Teacher” AI Helps Russian Students Close Learning Gaps

An AI-powered platform analyzes student performance, identifies weak spots, and offers tailored exercises to improve learning outcomes.
Russian schools are increasingly adopting AI assistants in the classroom, and one of the most widely used is “Digital Teacher.” The system evaluates a child’s knowledge across subjects, pinpoints areas where they struggle, and generates targeted exercises to help close gaps, according to URA.Ru citing the Department of Informatization of the Tyumen Region.
The platform offers two modes. Students can test themselves individually, after which the AI builds a personalized study plan with theory and practice tasks, automatically checking progress along the way. Alternatively, teachers can assign materials as homework. If a student makes mistakes, the system automatically adds extra exercises to reinforce problem areas. Test results are shared with educators, giving them insight into the most challenging topics for the entire class.
Parents have also welcomed the broader wave of digital tools in Russian education. The “Navigator of Additional Education” portal now offers over 200 programs and guidance on after-school activities, while the virtual assistant “Edosha” provides real-time answers to user questions.
