Kaliningrad Region Begins Automating and Robotizing Industrial Capacity
Weld Expert has opened a new production facility designed to produce more than 100 modular welding systems annually
A plant focused on automating and robotizing industrial capacity, Weld Expert, has opened at the Khrabrovo Industrial Park in the Kaliningrad Region, according to the regional development corporation.
The facility manufactures robotic welding cells for companies in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, and heavy industry. The newly launched workshop is designed to produce more than 100 modular welding systems per year. The systems can be tailored to meet specific production requirements.
Full-Cycle Integration
The company aims to deliver end-to-end integration of robotic welding systems—from design and metalworking to assembly, testing, deployment, and guaranteed performance at target capacity. Control software for the robotic welding systems is developed in-house by Weld Expert.
Earlier reports said that Semargl plans to launch production of industrial robots and automated storage systems at the Novoorlovskaya site of the Special Economic Zone Saint Petersburg in summer 2026.
The new facility is set to manufacture automated storage systems, logistics robots, Tagarka transport platforms, Semabot mobile robots, and Arsenal shuttle systems. The company may later expand into flexible manufacturing cells, related robotic systems, and full-cycle flexible production systems.
