Russian IT company ICL Soft has developed an AI assistant called ICL Akkord (drug registration support system) that automates the preparation, updating, and maintenance of pharmaceutical registration dossiers in line with Eurasian Economic Union requirements. The solution is designed to accelerate the launch of new drugs on the Russian market by reducing manual work and human error.

The assistant uses artificial intelligence to automate dossier validation, gather and verify data from multiple sources, ensure completeness and accuracy, flag potential risks, and generate responses for regulators based on past precedents. Its accuracy improves over time as the system continues to learn from new data.

Cutting Costs and Time

The tool can reduce costs associated with preparing regulatory responses by up to 25% and cut staff time by up to 30%. Users only need to upload files into the system, after which the assistant autonomously generates reports with recommendations and performs a wide range of routine tasks.

Earlier reports noted that an AI-based assistant in the Moscow region has already provided doctors with more than 316,000 recommendations since the start of the year, helping prescribe medications and check drug compatibility.
