Students at Far Eastern Federal University have developed an application called Papa Plyus (Dad Plus). The app is a personal digital assistant for men preparing to become fathers, the university’s press service said.

According to the developers, the mini-app and chatbot are designed to increase fathers’ involvement in their children’s lives. Over three months of educational content, users learn how to prepare for conception and childbirth and how to participate more actively in family life and parenting.

Building Confidence

The course, created with leading experts, explains how lifestyle, stress, and a man’s overall health can influence a future child. Project leader Maria Noskova said the tool helps future fathers feel more confident and better prepared for parenthood.

The students have already won a grant for their development and are now testing the prototype.

“For us, it was important to combine social value with a sustainable business model so the project could continue to grow. Based on the research we have conducted, we see that the topic is in real demand. Together with leading experts, we are investing significant effort to create a product that responds to this need,” said project participant Dmitry Zhiganov.
