Tatarstan’s Bold Digital Overhaul Is Paving the Way for AI‑Driven Classrooms

In a sweeping modernization effort, schools across Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan have been equipped with high‑speed internet and cutting‑edge digital tools — laying the groundwork for fully personalized, AI‑supported education.

Since early 2025, every school in Tatarstan has enjoyed reliable high‑speed internet, enabling the rollout of electronic gradebooks and diaries powered by the Moscow Electronic School platform. Education officials say this system streamlines reporting, grants teachers and students access to federal curricular resources, and offers real‑time visibility into academic performance.

Complementing that infrastructure is “I — Schoolkid,” a one‑stop super‑service that lets students track grades, compete in olympiads, and receive tailored learning recommendations. Alongside it, Tatarstan’s classrooms leverage the Russian Electronic School, “My School,” and Sferum platforms to make lessons more interactive and engaging.

Teachers, freed from hours of manual grading, can now focus on customizing lessons to individual needs. And since April 2025, computer‑science educators have tapped into “GosPrompt,” an AI‑driven virtual assistant that helps them plan lessons and analyze classroom outcomes. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, one‑third of all ICT teachers are already using the service.

Officials say this digital transformation not only boosts teaching efficiency and student motivation today but also builds a robust foundation for tomorrow’s specialists. With plans underway to expand electronic‑service functionality and weave in additional AI solutions, Tatarstan aims to make its schools a global model for personalized, tech‑driven education.
