Moscow to Launch Unified Energy Management System
The city’s new digital platform will integrate power and utility providers to ensure fair pricing, efficiency, and transparency.

At the Russian Energy Week 2025 forum, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced plans to launch a unified energy management system that will connect all major utility and energy providers under one digital platform. The project is being developed in collaboration with Gazprom, Mosenergo, the Moscow United Energy Company, and the local branch of Rosseti, Russia’s main power grid operator.
Fair Prices Through Digital Oversight
According to Sobyanin, the system will improve cost efficiency for residents by ensuring “fair and transparent delivery of resources” and by helping the city set reasonable energy prices. The integration will also increase accountability and streamline coordination between providers.
Officials say the unified platform could become a model for energy efficiency nationwide, giving Russia’s largest city a more data-driven, sustainable energy infrastructure.
