Engineers at Tsifra Group have completed the deployment of an automated payload monitoring system for Chinese mining haul trucks at one of Russia's largest gold mining companies. According to the developers, the system is compatible with equipment from multiple manufacturers and makes it possible to standardize payload weighing procedures across different truck brands.

The system is designed to improve haul truck operations by preventing both underloading, which reduces profitability, and overloading, which causes premature equipment wear. It monitors suspension cylinder loads, as well as the payload's total, static, and dynamic weight, transmitting the data to the truck's onboard interface and to external monitoring systems.

"The mining equipment market is changing, with the number of manufacturers continuing to grow," said Nikolay Godunov, Executive Director of the Mining Division at Tsifra Group. "Our goal is to ensure that the payload monitoring system works equally effectively on trucks from different brands, giving industrial companies the freedom to choose their equipment while maintaining a single payload monitoring standard."

The company noted that the system can operate either as a standalone product or as part of an automated dispatching system.
