Rosatom Firewall Replacement Project Wins CNews Import Substitution Award
The migration was completed without interrupting corporate IT services.

A project to replace firewalls across key elements of Rosatom's IT infrastructure has won the CNews Import Substitution of the Year 2026 award in the Information Security: Import Substitution of the Year category. The project was carried out by engineers at Greenatom in partnership with other technology companies.
As part of the project, imported firewalls were replaced with Russian-made alternatives. Technical experts completed a seamless migration without disrupting corporate IT services, marking another step toward strengthening the resilience of Rosatom's digital infrastructure.
"The nuclear industry was among the first to replace high-performance firewalls at critical components of its centralized corporate IT infrastructure with domestic alternatives," said Vladimir Zolotov, IT Director at Greenatom. "The Kontinent 4 firewalls deployed across Rosatom's IT infrastructure fully meet all mandatory technical requirements for data processing performance, as well as high-availability standards."
