Rosatom (State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom) and Ural Federal University plan to expand their collaboration. The partnership will cover areas including rare earth metals, the development of molten salt nuclear reactors, and the use of artificial intelligence in industrial production, Obabkov said during a meeting with Rosatom executives.

“Ural Federal University is one of our key partner universities, and its students are highly qualified. Rosatom is interested in recruiting your graduates,” said Yury Olenin, Rosatom's Deputy Director General for Science and Strategy. “Most importantly, there is considerable potential to expand our cooperation, both in workforce training and in bringing the university researchers' advanced technologies to our facilities.”

Rosatom representatives showed particular interest in Ural Federal University's work on permanent magnets, which could significantly improve electric motor efficiency, as well as its research into advanced generators for wind power.
