More than 160,000 teachers from 54 Russian regions have already completed the teacher training program.

The Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course was developed in partnership with Letovo School, T-Education and the Moscow School of Programmers. It covers AI fundamentals, working with tabular data, machine learning and computer vision. The course is currently taught at 27 schools across 11 regions. Next year, the curriculum is set to expand, allowing students to begin studying AI technologies in seventh grade.

“One of the key challenges for education today is to make artificial intelligence an everyday tool for solving a wide range of problems, much as the calculator became one. AI cannot replace teachers, but it can certainly serve as an effective aid in the teaching process,” said Evgeny Ilyushin, academic lead for artificial intelligence at Central University.
