Applied Digital Solutions for Construction Are Gaining Momentum in Russia
The Ministry of Construction plans to launch pilot AI projects in Russian regions.

Artificial intelligence technologies are set to be actively deployed in Russia’s construction sector starting in 2026, the federal Ministry of Construction said. According to the ministry, plans include rolling out a standard cloud-based Construction Management solution, document workflow services, and an industry-wide data platform to support AI development.
As Alexander Popov, CTO of SIGNAL — a company specializing in AI implementation in construction — told IT RUSSIA, Russia may gain an advantage specifically at the level of applied solutions.
A Practical AI Assistant
SIGNAL’s construction management platform and SIGNAL DOCS are currently being integrated with AI. The team is working on connecting multiple models so that client companies can add any “artificial employee” to the platform.
In his view, the future belongs to applied solutions where AI is not a marketing gimmick but a genuinely effective tool that boosts efficiency. If neural networks begin to solve narrow professional tasks better and faster than humans, they will be adopted universally. In this area, Russian developers who understand the specifics of their industries have a real chance to create competitive products, even against the backdrop of lagging behind in fundamental research.
