All-Terrain Robots Help Deal With Aftermath of Heavy Rains in Chita
Volunteers from the regional branch of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps at Transbaikal State University are working alongside all-terrain robots to deal with the aftermath of heavy rains in Chita.

Since Aug. 1, rescuers have visited more than 100 households and pumped out over 2,500 cubic meters of water. Most requests have come from the Zheleznodorozhny District, where 50 yards were affected in the Biofabrika settlement.
Rescuers are being assisted by RTK-200 and RTK-100 robots from the Transbaikal State University technopark. The 100-kilogram tracked platforms can transport up to 500 kilograms of cargo and people across swampy terrain, operate for up to two weeks without recharging and are equipped with infrared cameras for nighttime operations. They are expected to be modified for pumping water and fighting fires.
