Russian cellular base station manufacturer Bulat has expanded the range of frequency bands supported by its equipment. The first production units compatible with the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, and 2600 MHz bands have already been manufactured at the Russian Telecommunications Technologies production facility in St. Petersburg.

The company has also increased the processing power of the signal processing unit. The upgrade is expected to improve network stability in large cities and other areas with heavy demand on mobile networks.

Bulat base stations are designed for LTE-Advanced and GSM networks. They feature highly sensitive receivers that provide broad coverage, along with integrated in-house control units.

According to the company, the expanded capabilities will give mobile operators greater flexibility in deploying Bulat equipment for a variety of use cases, from building and extending network coverage to increasing network capacity in high-traffic areas.
