Moscow has launched the world’s first dedicated video game and animation cluster, a hub designed to unite developers, studios, and media companies under one cutting‑edge creative ecosystem

Moscow has opened a world‑class Creative Cluster for video games and animation, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced. The new innovation hub, built within the Skolkovo Center, brings together game developers and media creators. The opening took place during the inaugural Moscow International Video Game Week.
A Full‑Scale Production Environment
In the first phase, the cluster launched a Data Processing Center, a motion‑capture studio capable of producing cinematic‑quality graphics, a recording studio, a photogrammetry studio, and a screening room for reviewing and correcting materials. Residents also have access to offices, exhibition spaces, coworking areas, a lecture hall, an esports arena, and recreation zones.
A Creative and Business Space
The cluster’s first residents include 41 companies—eight animation studios and 33 video game studios. All participating teams will benefit from Skolkovo Foundation incentives and receive support in promoting their products internationally.
Within the cluster, the MosHub.Skolkovo business space has opened, offering a conference hall, media center, demo area, and a 5G technology‑testing center for the IT community.
Mayor Sobyanin emphasized that the cluster will help create high‑quality content capable of promoting Russian culture and values on the global stage. The second phase of construction—covering more than 70,000 square meters—is scheduled to open in 2026.
