Mishustin Orders Strategy for Digital Platforms Across the Economy
Russia has begun work on a nationwide strategy for digital platforms after Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed 11 federal ministries and the Russian Export Center to prepare a comprehensive roadmap.

The strategy is due by February 2027. Participating agencies will identify priority areas for platform adoption in the sectors they oversee, taking into account the expected economic impact and potential gains in labor productivity. The Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Digital Development will prioritize platform creation in sectors with state participation. The strategy will also establish common requirements for platform architecture, data standards, cybersecurity, and the use of artificial intelligence.
In parallel, the government will establish ongoing monitoring of platform adoption. The Higher School of Economics, the Ministry of Economic Development, and Rosstat, working with the government's Expert Council, will publish an annual analytical report assessing the impact of digital platforms on GDP, inflation, employment, and retail trade.
