Stavropol Residents to Get Updates on Scams Through MAX Messenger
The regional government has launched a digital service on MAX that will include a section on cyber fraud schemes.
The section will feature information about current digital scams, including the impersonation of personal profiles and the creation of digital doubles of individuals. A quiz is also planned to help users test their knowledge of how to protect themselves from fraud.
The regional Ministry of Digital Development and Communications is also working with mobile network operators, which are developing services to protect subscribers from spam calls and phone scams.
The banking sector is involved as well. Together with the federal Ministry of Digital Development and regional agencies, banks are implementing measures to prevent theft of funds and the misuse of individuals’ digital doubles.
