Moscow Science Festival to Showcase a Working Quantum Computer
Visitors at the international “Science 0+” festival will get a firsthand look at a functioning three-qubit quantum computer and an online platform built by Russian researchers.

At the upcoming Science 0+ international festival in Moscow, attendees will see a fully operational three-qubit quantum computer and an online quantum computing platform developed at the Russian Technological University (MIREA).
The exhibit, created by the university’s Institute of Information Technologies, will be on display at the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory. Visitors will be able to test the university’s online platform, which allows users to design and run quantum algorithms on a 30-qubit emulator. The system is compatible with Russia’s Elbrus computing platform and serves as a domestic alternative to international libraries such as Qiskit and Cirq.
The Science 0+ festival is a global event held this year in ten countries. Its 2025 theme, “Your Quantum Universe,” aligns with the United Nations’ International Year of Quantum Science and Technology.
In Moscow alone, the festival will take place across more than 100 venues, featuring science exhibits, lectures, workshops, quests, quizzes, tours, and film screenings—all designed to bring cutting-edge science closer to the public.
