Rosstat to Move National Statistics to Unified Digital Platform in 2027
Russia is preparing a major digital overhaul of its national statistical system. Beginning in 2027, a single platform will manage the entire cycle of statistical data collection and processing.

Tsifrovaya analiticheskaya platforma (Digital Analytics Platform) will cover every stage of statistical production, from survey planning to the publication of final data. According to Dmitry Maslo, head of Nizhegorodstat, the platform will create a unified information space for statistical agencies, reporting organizations, and data users. Some components of the system are already in use, including tools for working with organizations that fail to meet statistical reporting requirements.
The digital transformation of Russia's statistical system is being rolled out in stages. All statistical reporting has already moved online, significantly speeding up data processing and the publication of results. Field personnel now routinely use tablets and smartphones, while satellite imagery was employed to verify information during the 2021 Agricultural Microcensus.
